About the programme
Artificial intelligence, robot art, self-driving cars – is this how we imagine a »New World« to be today? A little more than 100 years ago, Antonín Dvořák was thinking of one country in particular: America. His symphony ›From the New World‹ combines the familiar with the fascinating foreign, the melodies of the Czech homeland with the sound of the future – in a musically downright ingenious way. This great Ninth is as relevant today as it was then.
