“Join us for a FREE performance in the Concert Hall Sunday, July 24! Programmed by SMI Conductor and Artistic Advisor, Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, and conducted by Sylvia Alimena, the SMI Orchestra performs an evening of masterworks including the Bellini’s famous Overture to Norma, and J. Strauss’s beloved waltz Vienna Woods. The program continues with Jessie Montgomery’s Coincident Dances, inspired by the sounds of the many cultures found in New York. The finale features the Tchaikovsky’s joyful Symphony No. 2.
These concerts are free and open to all. No advance reservations or tickets are required. Seating is first come, first served. The concert is appropriate for all ages.”
